There are currently 3 course offerings:
1. Canine
2. Equine
3. Online
The Canine and Equine courses are offered in two levels; Basic (Myofascial) and Advanced (Structural). It is our intention that you should be able to start a Myofascial Release Practice working with dogs, horses or both after completion of the appropriate basic course work.
The Advanced course is for the serious professional who wishes to take their basic MFR understanding to a Strucutural Integration view.
The online course content is currently covering Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology and Analysis of both static and moving Structure.
We also offer a certification in Animal Structural Integration that entails at least 600 hours of training. Of the 600 hours up to 340 hours can be with other course providers.
To assist you and your clients in working with animals I developped a number of article and video resources for you.
These include:
Articles by me, in a pdf format often including embedded animations or videos to illustrate key points.
Chapter excerpts from my books.
Videos that are either made for this website or out takes from those that are for sale.
Because of the past abuse of these free resources we ask that you register to access them. It is free and will protect them from misuse. At no time will your registration information be shared with others.
Beyond the articles and videos I've also included these further resources:
The reading list is a compilation of the some of the contents of my personal library. Since I'm an Advanced Rolfer and I work with People, Horses and Dogs, the content of the library covers these three subjects and more.
There is an excellent yahoo discussion group that is open to both therapists and animal owners interested in Myofascial Release. This group provides a forum for us individuals to connect with a larger community.
I've been Blogging on items like structure, movement and how to put it all together.
The current Calendar is kept up to date with my travel plans, the current course dates, as well as short courses that are of interest for owners as well as therapists.
We are looking at the possibility of a residential training in Costa Rica in late 2008. This course will be at a small resort that is famous for it's horses and adventure park. The residential nature of this training will allow us to relax the pace of the course to let the material to sink in. The fast pace of the course seems at times like one is drinking out of a "fire hose". This "residential" course will include a section on practice building.
I've been teaching a canine myofascial massage for owner/guardians course here in Longmont CO. The course has been very successfully received, if you are in the area and want to learn how to help your dog this is the course for you. Dates are on the Calendar.
